The ECM group was formed in 1993 to fill what we perceived as the need for an organization dedicated entirely to career transition services for senior corporate executives, providing them with an environment, programs, coaching, resources and services that meet this level's particular needs.
This need became more and more evident as traditional outplacement firms grew larger and had difficulty in differentiating programs among so many different levels. Corporate executives are often uncomfortable sharing quarters, meetings/workshops and counselors with those at lower levels of the ladder, and sometimes even with people who previously reported to them. Also, the increasing complexities involved for seniors changing employment is requiring new disciplines, expertise and resources not generally offered by outplacement firms.
The ECM group, as the name implies, is made up of consultants/coaches with an average of twenty years of experience. ECM is well equipped to assist executives in moving in a number of directions: transitioning to larger corporate responsibilities, changing careers, buying or starting a business, consulting, or pursuing active retirement.
